Q: On that first lap what actually happened? Why did you have those two moments at the first and second chicanes?
MS: At the first chicane I just couldn’t stop the car in time. It looks like we struggled a little bit more than the other tyre companies, so I had to run straight. I then slowed down to let Juan get through. Juan played a little bit smart and slowed down himself to make it look like I was gaining an advantage. Anyway, I kept on going, and then coming into the second chicane it was just slippery again. I was sliding, got a nice four wheel slide. Jenson was on the outside, he couldn’t avoid that one and I just touched slightly with my front wheel, I don’t know, on his side pod, which spun me around. It was just one of those things, they do happen. In the conditions it was very difficult. I thought it was the right decision to go with slicks. I know it was going to be tricky. In the end, you see that both cars came in within one second, so both decisions seemed to be right in a way.

Alonso veszettül kapálózott, hogy azonnal tolják vissza, de a mellette álló pályabíró ugyanilyen vehemensen tiltakozott. A spanyol végül kiszállt az autójából, de rendkívüli módon csalódott volt, és ha esetleg a kamerák nem látják, nyilván be is dobálta volna munkásokat a korlát mögé.

A dolog érdekessége, hogy Schumachert ugyanilyen esetben visszatolták egy évvel korábban. A különbség talán az, hogy itt valóban a menetiránnyal szemben lettek volna kényszerûek tolni, méghozzá egy teljesen beláthatatlan részen. Ha valaki éppen ekkor érkezik, az Alonzóstól, pályabíróstól együtt kapja a nyakába a Renaultot.

We were very close and I hoped that I could overtake him but he had more speed than me on the straight and I just couldn’t pass him. I had a good opportunity with a couple of laps to go when David made a mistake in the last corner and I got very close to him coming out of the Parabolica, but we both locked our wheels and hit each other going in to the first chicane, luckily with no consequence for either of us."

Based on my experience from last week's test I thought it would still be damp in the forest section of the track and decided to start the race on intermediates as did Rubens. Towards the end of the race Pizzonia hit me from the back whilst he was trying to overtake me under braking. To be honest I was ready for it as I knew he would try something like that and managed to keep the car on the track and salvage three points."

15-29. MS cipel 6tal tobbet

A 13. korben Pizzonia is elment RB mellett, MS akkor mar sehol sem volt. Reg megelozte RBt.
Ha a 15tol nezzuk 42ig, akkor MS tobbet cipelt, de RBnak volt hartanya MShez kepest.
Innentol osszessegeben RBnak kellett gyorsabbnak lennie, h a 42 korre MS ele tudjon visszajonni.
A 25-30mp-es MS hatranyt csak az 5. korig latom, de azt RB "ledolgozta" egy kerekcserevel.
