Az egesz AIDA32 IA-32, emiatt vegig emulacioban fut a kod. A benchmarkoknal pedig az irasi teszt soran 32x tobb adatmozgato utasitas kerul vegrehajtasra, ebbol adodik a rendkivul alacsony eredmeny.

Az attól függ, hogy lesz-e fellendülés, és mekkora a számítógép-piacon. Az Intel az áraival nem rúg labdába a low-end (!!!) workstation piacon a Hammer mellett (ha megjelenik végre ) : a többi meg azon múlik, hogy a nagyobb gépek piacába mennyi pénz megy bele. Ha sok, akkor bejön nekik. Ha csak annyi, mint eddig, akkor SZVSZ nemigen várható komoly áttörés...

Hogy az Intel labdába akar-e rúgni valahol, az csak rajta múlik. Ezt úgy értem, hogy ha akarná, ingyen is adhatná a procikat... Egyébként nem kellene elfelejteni, hogy egy teljesen új high-end architektúra bevezetése azért nem megy hipp-hopp, nyilván évekig tart. Az Intel dolgát mondjuk jól megnehezítik a gazdasági/politikai körülmények, de ez más kérdés.

Biztos vagyok benne, hogy a többi új high-end cuccos is évek alatt hozta be a kifejlesztésére fordított összeget, szóval nem kell hõbörögni a milliárdok miatt. Vegyük észre: az Itanium a versenyben gyakorlatilag már most lenyomta a PA-RISC-et, az Alphát és a MIPS-et, három igen jelentõs piaci szereplõt. És még csak az út elején tart...
