I feel sometimes if my brain would start standing by the English logic. It has an own conceptualization and when we speak on this language it needs to forget all Hungarian grammar because it disturbs the English thought. But this is a very primitive beginner feeling by me. I feel it example when I use participle or gerund modes or translate these. But it is perceptible having used passive constuctions. These are basics of the English logic. And one more thing: English very likes simplicity. This proves real logic.

And at work I always hear the same sentences and the same words, the same questions my english language is emproving in one way, into a wrong way i think. It has emproved and i happy with this but about my oppinion its not enough yet.

The question is, what is their English knowledge like. Because if they cannot speak perfectly, they will never show you the right way. In the opposite situation if they can speak well, they should wake up your attention to your mistakes. The help helps your developing

I work in England, it does mean, I work with English people. So thats their `mother-language`.
And by the way english people.. here is plenty of british lad and las i dislike them. When i try to speak something to these young people they can `t understand me, because they don `t want to understand me.
They don `t listen to my words, they don `t listen to my mouth because they don `t want to talk to foreign people. Actually most of them. I can `t pronaunc the words as correct as they can understand them. You can `t imagine it, it `s a nightmare... so bit fed up with the english young people.

I mean not the young people in my office because they are ok and they are nice.
I mean the rest of the young people (most of em), who live here and who work at the other department of the company. Its true, they are strangers and we dont know eachothers but if i ask something i dont wanna here `huh?` or `hey?` or `wha` and sumet like that as an answer. In my office everybody ok of course i can speak with them and they speak with me.

No am not. There are plenty of foreign people over here and thats the simply reason thats why they hate the foreigners. I heard a lot of times, the english people had enough and fed up with the polish people and they hate them. You worked in a different shade, with different people so maybe couldnt feel things like this.

They hear your not perfect pronunciation and if they find the first mistake, they have not patience to find out what you want to say. They feel themselves better talking with English people. Thats exactly what im talking about you r right. If they can hear the mistakes or the foreign accent, the conversation is `dead`.

Having read the recent posts after a couple of days the first thing I must tell is thanks and respect to spidey for the detailed correction of Dex's post. I think it's a good direction of this topic if someone feels the urge and patience to make corrections like that and the other side looks at that as a way of improvement, not as a personal offense.
On speaking with yougsters, I think it's like asking an average Hungarian teen about the poetry of Attila József or the art of Mihály Munkácsy or something like that from a common part of civilisation. The answer is the very same 'Huh?'. I don't know if it has something to do with school or parental care but I feel it a problem of the generation(s). The total absence of an open mind.

I think Dextrose has a point there

On the other hand I can understand they point of view too. Once they ruled the world and now there are lot of foreign people (aliens ). Maybe it's kind of hard to accept these things and I guess it all happend pretty fast. When they opened the borders a lot of people went there to work. Some of them spoke english but a lot tried to do it on the fly which is quite a challange. Their pronunciation isn't very good so it's hard to understand for a native english what they are trying to say. I think americans and australians are much tolerant about these things because they are mixed from different nations not like the british. Here, in Hungary we can't really feel these things I think. Most people come here to work is romanian, trnsylvanian. The speak hungarian so it's much harder to separate them from us. But imagine that turkish people come here to work without any knowledge of hungarian language, doesn't sound good, does it?

England is single. Single island, single country as any other countries. It has own rules and system. Just think about traffic rules or their traditions. However it has been accreted with Scotland. So, if suddently streams in the land some different national, it gets interference. Not English people will adapt to foreign people. Foreign people have to adapt English. They are higher level opposite in others. We can deduct it to our environment: if romanian people comes to us, we feel ourselves at home well, they have to adapt us.
